TEEN CENTER | SUMMER

The Teen Center is open for eight weeks of programming during the summer months. Students sign up on a week-to-week basis. Weeks are planned around a variety of trips, activities, and field trips meant to keep students learning and engaged throughout the summer.

To Register for Summer Programming:
Forms will be available in May 2026.  ALL teens must be registered BEFORE attending. Space is limited. For more information, to check teen program availability, and for information about scholarships, please contact
Holly Jordan by calling  (207) 582-8458 or email at hjordan@bgckv.org

Would you like to become a Club Counselor-in-Training (CIT)?
Students in High School may choose to sign up for our CIT (Counselor-in-Training) program. This program enables students to fulfill their required volunteer hours for graduation while developing valuable work skills for the future. Students who sign up for the program receive free Teen Center enrollment and must adhere to Boys & Girls Club work, schedule, operational, and behavioral standards, and complete any necessary training before starting. CITs are permitted to take part in the Teen Center and field trips (when not assigned to a room). Job placement is NOT guaranteed. To apply, please contact Savannah Vinton-Mullens at svintonmullens@bgckv.org or (207) 582-8458.

EVERY DAY: Students MUST have a water bottle. This can be filled at The Club throughout the day. We also encourage students to bring sunscreen, a change of clothes, sneakers, and optional spending money for the Walking Club.

Field Trip Days: Students who attend field trip days are required to participate in the trips. On beach days and days that campers will be getting wet, students should bring a water bottle, swimsuit, towel, sandals, and sunscreen. Please note: We DO NOT apply sunscreen onto our campers, but we do remind students to apply it to themselves and have plenty available if needed.

Dress Code: Students are NOT permitted to wear sweatshirts during the summer to avoid heat exhaustion. Blankets and pajamas are also not allowed. Students should dress appropriately for all listed activities (including mandatory sneakers and socks on days indicated).

Wireless Time- On all onsite days from 1:00-3:00 the Teen Center is considered “wireless” and we unplug to engage in a special enrichment activity. While students are given a choice throughout the day as to what they would prefer to take part in, this time period is considered mandatory and gives all members a chance to experience new skills, teachings, and experiences together as a group.

High School Students - All registered High School students are welcome to visit The Club for free on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm (closed on 7/4 and 7/11). Students must adhere to all behavioral standards to maintain this privilege. High School students hoping to take advantage of this offer MUST fill out a summer registration card before attending.
