2013 Youth of the Year,  Katie Gallup

After High School, Katie plans on attending Lamar University and majoring in Political Science.  She aspires to one day be a Diplomat in Washington D.C.  She also hopes to someday be a foster parent and help kids like herself that have faced difficulties in their homes and families.

 Since becoming a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Gardiner in 2005, Katie has been involved in mentoring, Dancing with the Staff and intramurals (to name a few).  Katie also serves as Secretary and Chairman of Academic Success of The Keystone Club. Katie has also devoted many hours to Boys & Girls Club programming, earning over 500 hours of community service at The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Gardiner alone through mentoring, childcare, and Club cleanup and maintenance.
